The results were presented to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, during a meeting held as part of the strengthening of technological cooperation between Angola and the Chinese multinational telecommunications company.

Huawei's investment focuses on creating a benchmark technological ecosystem that will position Angola as a regional center for digital innovation.

Huawei Angola has established structuring research and development (R&D) projects in the provinces of Cuanza-Norte, Icolo and Bengo, Moxico Leste and Bié.

These strategic hubs serve to consolidate an innovation network based on the technical training of young Angolan professionals, the development of digital infrastructures and the expansion of technological coverage in remote areas, with a direct impact on digital inclusion and the strengthening of the national digital economy.

António Hou expressed the Chinese company's intention to make Angola the main technological HUB in the Southern African region, in order to attract investments and knowledge transfers, as well as create partnerships with Angolan higher education institutions and research centers.

Through the “Seeds for the Future” program and other training initiatives, the company has invested in the development of digital skills among young Angolans, encouraging local talent and fostering knowledge transfer.
