Huawei guarantees to make Africa “more advanced and connected”

A Huawei considered the African market, where it has been operating for over two decades, as one of the most important for its business and guarantees technological investments, especially in education to make Africa more advanced and connected.

We have already entered the African market more than 20 years ago and we treat this market as one of the most important of our company and we believe that education, especially higher education, is a cornerstone for the development of each country ”, said in Luanda, rotating president of Huawei, Eric Xu.

Xu advances that Huawei will continue to invest in terms of using computing technology, artificial intelligence, connectivity, the communication network to facilitate communication and teaching, and in the future, the Chinese company plans to invest more in this aspect to build a Africa more connected and more advanced.

Eric Xu was speaking today, in Luanda, at the end of the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Huawei and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESSTI) of Angola.

Huawei is to build a technology park in Luanda budgeted at US $ 60 million "to continue to serve and accompany the technological development of Angola". Eric Xu recalled that the Angolan market, where he has been operating since 1998, was one of the operator's first entry doors on the African continent, guaranteeing that the technological park in Luanda will have numerous advantages.

"We will have three main centers in the park, namely for the training of partners and customers, one for innovation, for public and private entities and ministries, and an experience center to accompany and bring the newest and most advanced technologies to the Angolan market", concluded.
