A Sony announced a new sound column XB501G, a miniature version of the company's powerful Extra Bass speakers. The new gadget has an integrated Google Assistant.
According to the company, the XB501G speaker is “made to go where other speakers with the integrated Google Assistant cannot reach”, thanks to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, in addition to a powerful battery. The upper handle makes transportation practical, while the IP65 certification guarantees resistance against damage caused by moisture and dust.
In addition to connectivity via Bluetooth, there is support for NFC, to facilitate the pairing between the device and smartphones, of course, compatible with this technology. You can ask for music, ask questions about Google's artificial intelligence, and control household devices by voice.
Sony's new speaker was developed for outdoor use, as it is splash and dust proof, with an IP65 rating. Offers 16 hours of battery life and integrates a USB-C port for charging.
XB501G will arrive in the windows of authorized Sony dealers from October and will cost $ 300.
