Instagram announces feature to share Stories with only best friends

Instagram (30) announced a new feature for Stories: publishing photos and videos visible only to its best friends.

The feature allows the user to create a list of friends without a limited number so that, when publishing a story, he can choose who will view the content. Baptized under the suggestive name of “Close Friends”(Close Friends), the news comes about 18 months after the company announced that it was working on more private ways of sharing posts.

Users who are added to someone's list will see a green circle around the profile, plus a green stamp while viewing the story. A kind of incentive for users not to stop using the application in situations they may not want to display for their entire fan base.

How to use Stories only for a group of friends?

To use the feature, you first need to log in to your profile, touch the menu button (in the upper right corner) and then tap Best friends. On the screen that opens, tap the Add next to the person you want to add to the Best Friends list. You can add or remove a person at any time, and they will not be warned when this happens.

In short, a user can now create a single private list of the closest friends by searching the app. Instagram also suggests a list of followers from their most frequent interactions within the social network.
