The latest feature of Instagram started rolling out in Europe, with the US and Japan also receiving the latest update.
The functionality in question goes by the name of Instagram Notes and consists of a small message that can be found in the users' profile, where it remains for a period of 24 hours.

BUT: Instagram launches feature to help recover hacked accounts
The launch was announced by the person responsible for Instagram, Adam Mosseri through the respective Twitter page. The Goal, on the other hand, counts the 9to5mac website that the company describes the feature as “a new way to share your thoughts and see what your friends are up to”.
"During testing, we learned that people appreciated having a light and easy way to share their thoughts and start conversations. From asking for recommendations and sharing what you're up to, Notes gives people a casual and spontaneous way to express themselves and connect with others.", said Meta.
