Intel Introduces New Generation of Processors for Desktops

2314

A CES - Consumer Electronics Show, as has been usual, presents the first novelties of the year of the technological universe.

Intel is present at CES and has submitted a proposal for desktop users. These are new processors for more powerful machines.
There is the “H” series, aimed at “high-performance laptops and mobile workstations”, and the “S series”, which are intended for more traditional desktops. They complement the other two lines of seventh generation CPUs, which cover ultra-thin designs (the “Y series”) and faster ultraportables (the “U series”).

Intel claims that the i7-7700K series SX CPU is 25% faster than i7-4770K. I7-7700K can produce videos of 360 degrees in 4K, 35% faster than 4770K.

Regarding the H-series chips, Intel says they will be about 20% faster than a fourth generation chip (for example, i7-4700HQ) and will process 360 videos in 4K, 65% more fast.

The S Series, which includes intel's top processor, i7-7700K, will cost $ 339, will have a base clock speed of 4.2GHz and can reach up to 4.5GHz. In comparison, the 6700K is clocked between 4GHz and 4.2GHz. The new chip will have four cores and eight threads (thanks to Hyperthreading) and includes the Intel HD 630 graphics card.

For the first time, Intel released an unlocked Core i3 model, 7350K that will cost $ 168, a dual-core processor with four threads clocked at 4.2GHz. Those who need to overclock will like this new processor, since they can adjust the speed settings.

Benefits

With Intel's new desktop chips, 4K video processing will be very efficiently.
