In an article published in ZDNet, it was revealed that Microsoft is working on a new tool that could be the replacement for Internet Explorer.

The tool, with codename Spartan, it will look like Chrome and Firefox, being faster and lighter. It will not be a continuation of IE (IE12), but something new, created from scratch.

According to the same article, Spartan (still tentative name) will be the main novelty of Windows 10. It's the day January 21 will be an important date, since by this date, it is expected to present the news of Windows 10.

It is believed that Internet Explorer will be retired but will not disappear. For it will still be available for Windows, although it will become a secondary navigator, not the default one.

Yesterday an image appeared that supposedly is of the Spartan in operation:

Is this the image of Spartan?
