iPhones may finally support two SIM cards

It looks like things might change to Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, as rumors of a possible dual-SIM iPhone model coming out this year have already been heard, with the feature reaching the Plus model and including support for two SIMs for specific regions.

According to rumors, a new component of the system responsible for generating diagnostic reports includes new references to the "second SIM support" and a "second SIM tray status". Another component refers to a "dual sim device". These references are clearly an indication that iOS is being upgraded to run on a future device with support for two SIM cards. As shown in the image below. The mention of a "second SIM card holder" indicates that it would in fact have two physical SIM cards instead of one regular and one e-SIM.

Would that be a good fit for Apple users?

A dual SIM card option for the larger iPhone model would allow users to switch between different carrier plans without having to swap SIM cards. The feature is also important for European and Asian users who routinely visit multiple countries.
