
The Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL) will soon have the Electromedicine course in its educational curriculum, becoming the first training of its kind to be taught in the country.
The information was revealed by the institution's general director, Cláudio Gonçalves, stressing that the Government has made many investments in the field of hospital technologies and equipment, therefore, it is opportune to include specific training to help develop the sector, which still has a severe shortage of qualified labor.
ITEL, he said, has several innovative projects in its portfolio, created by students, with potential for implementation in the job market. Cláudio Gonçalves also asked for greater investment in projects invented by students.

Among the proposed creations, he said, are smart devices for people with audiovisual disabilities, which can help with locomotion, through better communication between the user and the devices.
