[Games] Games are a bigger problem than guns.

1975

It may seem unusual but it's true, Republican Senator Lamar Alexander in an interview with The Daily Rundown said games are a bigger problem than guns because "they affect people," leaving the clear idea that he preferred to get shot at, for example of Call of Duty, because a gunshot would not affect him.

Now that I've given you time to stop laughing at the joke this senator told us, it's about time we looked at her seriously. Although these words demonstrate that anyone can actually be elected senator in the United States the truth is that the attacks on the games have been the form that many entities in the Americans have used to justify the recent shootings that have existed lately in the schools of that country. It is still noticeable that the National Rifle Association has said that the games are partly responsible for the shootings, after all it is an association of weapons and everything has to be done so that people do not realize that without weapons there are shootings. But last week Democratic Senator Chris Murphy said that these shootings would not have happened if the games did not give the sniper "a false sense of courage," forgetting to recall that false courage is something that does not exist, or has or you do not have Earlier, Republican Gov. Chris Christie said violent games should be analyzed after the shootings, although multiple studies have already been done and everyone has proven that games do not make people more violent, with some alias proven otherwise.

Unfortunately what is clearly an attempt to evade their responsibility as members of the government and a joke for every human being who has played some violent game for a few hours is something taken seriously to people without any kind of culture video games and helps create even more bias against the overall games. Although many Americans actually begin to divert their attention from the real causes of the shootings to focus on the games, this will hardly translate into any kind of anti-video games law.
