Sony has announced that PS3 has already sold, since its launch until November 2 this year, more than 80 million units. Remember that the console was originally launched in Japan on November 11, 2006, with a few days left to complete 7 years on the market. In addition to announcing the number of consoles sold, Sony also announced that so far 4.332 games have been released for the same, not counting only those released digitally. 
And even with the imminent launch of PS4, Sony confirms that more than 300 new games will be released to the console by the end of the year. Not to mention AAA quality games recently released like The Last of Us, GTA5, Two Souls, Batman: Arkham Origins and NBA 2K14. The PS2 was discontinued this year and has the title of the best-selling console ever with 150 million units. Will PS3 last as long as its predecessor??
