Well, the good news for horror lovers is that the first game in the series will get a remake (yes, one more) for PC and the consoles of the past and current generation.
With the release scheduled for 2015, the game will be released only digitally and is being based on the remake released on 2002 for the GameCube.
While for PC, PS4 and Xbox One the default resolution will be 1080p, on last generation consoles it will only be 720p. However, all versions will support 5.1 surround sound and it will still be possible to play in the original 4: 3 or 16: 9 panorama format. Some other things have been modified such as the control options and the camera that is no longer fixed so that the gameplay becomes more dynamic.
Resident Evil was first released on 1996 for the Playstation and later won a remake for the GameCube on 2002. Most recently won a new installment for Wii U.
