Spotify CEO Daniel Ek announced in an interview with Reuters who does not plan to remove Kanye West's music from the music platform.
Despite classifying West's anti-Semitic statements as “horrible”, Ek noted that the American rapper's music does not violate the rules of Spotify🇧🇷 The executive also notes that the decision to remove Kanye West's music from the service would only be up to the rapper's former publisher - Def Jam.

“They would have to be the ones to take that initiative”, noted Ek, adding that Spotify could only intervene if West's statements had been made in 'podcast'.
