Winamp, the classic software that serves as an MP3 player, was entitled to a new update – 5.9 RC1 Build 9999, the first in the last four years – which, according to the developers, is the “culmination” of years of work by two teams and also an interruption dictated by the pandemic.

However, as the website points out Pitchfork, the popularity of Winamp did not resist the emergence of platforms such as iTunes from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), or even from Spotify🇧🇷 AOL decided to end the development of the service in 2013 and the reappearance of Winamp fell to the Belgian company Radionomy.
