Reminder: TEDxLuanda 2023 takes place next week

Touching the Stars is the proposed challenge for the return of TEDxLuanda in 2023, in a face-to-face format after a five-year absence, as unique and irreverent as ever. The TEDxLuanda organizing team, also known as “Astronauts”, on October 21st (Saturday), TEDxLuanda returns to our capital city under the theme “Tocando As Estrelas”. For this 7th edition, the BAI academy will host our emblematic event.

A 7th edition of TEDxLuanda will take place from 9 am, with doors opening and check-in, and end around 20pm. The program is divided into 4 panels, separated by intervals dedicated to networking and experiences developed by our partners, as well as tasting a special menu prepared by Chef Rui Sá and presented by chefs of Angolan excellence.

For this edition, more than 10 brilliant national and international speakers, coming from different professional areas, will be present to share their experiences, dreams and projects:

In this list, we highlight four names, linked to the technological sector, some of these well-known names in the world of digital entrepreneurship:

Augusto Firmino – Graduated in Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Angola. He worked at the Ministry of Energy and Water, TPA (Public Television of Angola). In 2016, he founded INOKRI and KRUKUTEKA, innovative solutions focused on the national market, the following year RAISED an application to consult prices for products in supermarkets, then created Qualificar aimed at training staff and offering products on the national market in training area. Also known for his involvement in the SOCIA project, a startup focused on sharing information about products and opportunities in the formal and informal market, offering users greater purchasing power, especially families with low economic power.

marco romero – Holds a Master's of Science and Space Systems Engineering in Solar System Exploration, an Executive Graduate Degree in Space Commercialization, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Academy. Lecturer and university researcher at ISPTEC. He is a member of the National Space Program team, specializing in Navigation Support and Ballistics. He created the Space Applications and Services section of the Department of Space Sciences and Applied Research and served in the Project Management Department. He has developed the Space Education and Outreach Program in several countries. In his professional repertoire he has several awards and recognition for his work and contribution in the scientific and space field.

Neusa Colsoul – Computer Engineer, graduated from Universidade Gregório Semedo and business catalyst. Angolan, born in Luanda, currently serves as Chairman of the Management Board of Intellectus – Training and Management. In a journey of more than ten years, among many struggles, joys and tears, together with her husband and other people, she created the Okayula Tech, a company focused on the technological area, made up of young Angolans.

Pedro Paris – Telecommunications technician specialized in electronics, at the National Telecommunications Institute (ITEL). He founded the first community laboratory in Luanda and has been a member of the Angolan association of inventors and innovators since 2009, founder of Startup Kandengue Cientista and other initiatives such as Clube TICS, National Competition for Creation and Rocket Launch (CNFL-1). Mentor of several community development initiatives in Angola, Ambassador of Space Education, promoter of actions related to Space Education since 2017, in partnership with GGPEN, a body attached to the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication. Young Ambassador of Peace in Angola, by YSPangola (Young Student for Peace).
