We are currently at a stage when major international technology companies are reporting their third quarter tax revenues of 2018, where Huawei had revenues estimated at over 20%, and Apple had a big low.

But other companies have also had problems selling smartphones, both Sony and LG selling far fewer smartphones in the last quarter than last year, according to both companies' earnings releases. LG reported sales of its smartphone division were down 21% from the same quarter last year, while Sony fell almost 30%.

These declining numbers are of particular concern, given the high profile launches we saw from both companies during the reporting period. Sony launched the Xperia 1 , a super loud phone with an 21: 9 aspect ratio screen, and LG had its flagship smartphone for the year, the LG G8, alongside its debut 5G device.
