It should not be news to anyone that the Angolan tax system is undergoing changes, and at the level of information technologies the changes are also happening, the living proof of this is the existence of a Modern and effective Taxpayer Portal, as well as a automated customs system.

An international conference on "ICTs in Taxation”Will be held, this Thursday, in Luanda, within the scope of the tasks of coordinating the technical opinions and the International Treaties of the Center for Tax Studies. Participants at the meeting will reflect on taxation and the importance of using information and communication technologies in the revenue collection process in Angola.

O The meeting, which awaits the participation of several national and international entities involved in the tax system reform process, provides announcements and clarifications on the current changes introduced in the Angolan tax procedure, in technological terms.

With this event, according to the information provided by our source, the changes to the Angolan tax system, which have been developed over the last few years, by AGT, begin to enter a “crucial” phase of implementation, with the need to introduce technological mechanisms capable of following the evolution of the tax system of other counterparts.

AGT understands that the approval and entry into force of new diplomas, such as the Customs Tariff - Version 2017 and VAT (Value Added Tax), among others, are a “potential tension” with taxpayers, which makes it imperative to clarify some concepts and measures to make the tax payment process easy, fast and effective.
