Since 2015, the ICT labor market in Angola has changed. Since then, the opportunities for software developers residing in Luanda have been increasing steadily. Companies that needed to import foreign professionals before began hiring foreign software factories to operate remotely, but also started hiring more software developers in Luanda.

The startup market has also changed. In November 2015 the international competition of startups companies called SeedStars occurred for the first time in Angola, carried out by the company KiandaHub, and selected 11 (eleven) finalists. Among the finalists was the then-startup Jobartis with its job search platform. At the end of the day, Jobartis was named the best Angolan startup of 2015 and was selected to represent Angola in Seedstars World.

As business opportunities in Angola increase, more and more entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs invest in hiring software developers and developers to turn their ideas into products and their products into revenue. The demand for programmers and programmers sometimes seems to be greater than the offer but at the same time several programmers remain unemployed because they can not find employment opportunities or even short-term projects.

Portantto, if you are a developer and want to improve your skills or teach others about web development or software? This is an opportunity for you. If you are still a beginner and want to learn how to develop software, the Coding Dojo Angola is for you.

In order to reduce the gap between job generators and Angolan software developers and developers, the startup Bantu Makers and the company Jobartis supported the birth of the project called Coding Dojo Angola.

The inauguration of the Coding Dojo Angola will occur on 19 on August 2017, opening 09h to 12h. This space will be used by companies and startups in search of talents and by ICT professionals looking for new projects. Through these meetings people can, in a relaxed way, present their products and their knowledge and companies can indicate their main challenges.

Initially the Coding Dojo will support the training of new developers and new developers in Ruby on Rails technology. This technology is widely used globally by startups and allows people who dominate it to work both in companies in Angola and also to work remotely in their homes or in coworking spaces for foreign startups.

Coding Dojo will run every Saturday from 09h to 12h in the Launchpad Angola, a modern coworking space located in Vila Alice, and will always have at least 1 (an) instructor to welcome companies, receive people and to help those who want to work as developer or software developer to achieve its goal.
