More than 160 people were victims of data privacy invasion

More than 160 people were victims of violations or invasions of privacy, according to the report “Cybersecurity and Digital Services – I Quarter 2021”, by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

The study showed that only 22% of victims of this invasion of privacy filed a complaint with the service provider and the police, with the rest remaining silent and not filing any complaints.

The INE investigation points out that the age group between 25 and 34 years was the most targeted group among criminals, with around 10 cases, while the least affected group was those aged 65 and over, who had only 3.290 complaints .

It should be noted that the respective report does not present cases by province, but highlights that Luanda is the place with the highest number of complaints, with more than 100 citizens claiming that they were victims of data privacy on digital platforms.
