The citizens of Malanje asked the Provincial Government to expand the broadband Internet service in the outskirts of the city, with the aim of decongesting the only public point of this service located in the provincial media library.

The lack of free Internet in the neighborhoods of the city of Malanje, capital of the Province of Malanje, has created a large number of floods in the Provincial Mediatheque and consequently slowing down the speed of the browser, where as a result citizens ask for the network to be extended to other locations in the urban core and surroundings.

According to a large number of students interviewed by ANGOP, they expressed the extension of this service, where Feliciano Mulança, head of the engineering department at Instituto Superior Dom Cardeal do Nascimento, informed that his institution is training young people in the area of information, which can be used by the government to achieve this situation.

"We are willing to work and help the government in the expansion of the broadband network, since citizens need Internet services to allow research and studies", said.

On the other hand, for the university professor and researcher in the field of technologies, Milton Joveth, reiterated the same way of thinking and added that the expansion of the Internet not only diversifies the sources of research, but also contributes to the improvement of the living conditions of citizens.

Still on this path, Angélica Canje, director of the Mediateca Provincial, stressed that the local Government will continue to work for the expansion of the project Angola Online, with a view to satisfying the citizens' interest in seeing the Internet free in more parts of the province, aiming at massification and digital inclusion.
