Angola needs to move towards technological independence, which includes cyberspace through continuous training of national staff, defended the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira.

The leader who spoke at the I Expo Forum on Cybersecurity, further stated that “it has been proven that, as a general rule, it is human failures that allow hackers and other criminals to invade our networks and create situations that can cause losses of millions of dollars a year".

Organized by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), the event brought together experts, specialists, representatives of public and private companies, with a view to discussing security strategies for networks and information systems, with a view to increasing guarantees of free, secure and efficient use of cyberspace.

For Minister Mário Oliveira, the existence of a reality of insecurity and CyberCrime, in the various sectors, leading to the conclusion of a high exposure of information, given the situation, where it is expected that the meeting will help to bring together ideas for an effective solution.

For this reason, the 1st Forum on Cybersecurity focused on a round table with the theme: The vision of public entities on the impact of cyber attacks on their activity, where the importance of Angolan legislation in the fight against CyberCrime, the impact of the prevention of CyberCrime and the center of security operations at the service of the CyberSecurity of the government, public and private companies.
