After announcing that all messages sent by Messenger would enjoy encryption, the Meta announced also that app users will have the ability to edit messages already sent.
When checking a spelling error or an idea that could have been clearer, the sender of the message will have 15 minutes to edit the message. Note that, if the recipient has decided to report the message for abusive content, Meta will continue to have access to the content of this initial message even if it is edited.
BUT: Messenger Lite for Android is shutting down by Meta
To enjoy this option, simply press a message and the option to edit it will appear along with the ability to reply, delete or react with emojis.
