Microsoft announced yesterday the private preview of Visual Studio Online, an online code editor that the company is positioning as a companion for the Visual Studio and the platform code.

This means that Visual Studio Online will also support all currently available extensions to the Visual Studio Code as well as popular features such as platform workspaces. Support for IntelliCode , Microsoft's artificial intelligence-assisted development tool, which has become available today, is also built-in.
