Microsoft to build two Data Centers in South Africa

A Microsoft is prepared to build two new Data Centers na South Africa, to serve Cloud services that will be responsible for providing Microsoft Cloud services to the African market.

The two new Cloud Data Centers will be built in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and will represent a strategic advantage for Microsoft, as they will be the only first-rate cloud provider with a data center presence in Africa.

Microsoft believes that the best way to win more business in Africa is to build data centers on the continent.

By bringing the two Data Centers into operation in South Africa, Microsoft can more efficiently deliver its various services, such as Office 365, Microsoft Azure e Dynamics 365, yet offer enterprise-level data reliability, performance and residency for users in the region.

Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of cloud and Microsoft company, said in a statement, ”we are excited about the growing demand for cloud services in Africa and its ability to be a catalyst for new economic opportunities".

The two new Microsoft Data Centers will start operating in 2018 and the company's executive has drawn the attention of high-tech companies that are looking to capitalize so that they can invest in Africa and be aware of the growth of their economy.
