School textbooks for Primary and Secondary Education are now available on the website xilonga.med.gov.ao e sepe.gov.ao, and where parents and guardians can download the files for free, as long as they have an electronic device with internet access.
This technological innovation by the Ministry of Education (MED) is based on new technologies and the confinement imposed by Covid-19, when students did not have access to conventional school, a fact that “forced” the Ministry of Education (MED) to to mark steps for the technological transition and, particularly, to accelerate the project of the designated virtual school Xilonga.
Denominated Angolan Virtual School “Xilonga”, the technological project aims to make Angolan education easier and more engaging, based on the diversity of didactic supports and methods, as well as the involvement of the family, which are fundamental to support the development of a positive routine for children and adolescents.

The virtual school also aims to promote an attractive and dynamic distance learning environment, with free access to various interactive tools and resources, such as video lessons, audio lessons, didactic games and manuals, with the facility to download school manuals and use them even without Internet access

According to the official note from the MED, the Angolan Virtual School Xilonga offers a new way of learning, which was born to bring more quality to education and make the transforming power of knowledge within reach of children.
