The Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MINTTICS) will increase its participation in the development of national content production and its availability on the grid of content distribution platforms and television stations in the country.
This information was revealed by the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino, informing that MINTTICS will work with partners to find better ways to allow greater absorption of national content on platforms, channels and TV stations.
Nuno Caldas, who spoke during a seminar “About Content Producers”, whose main plan was to bring together companies operating in the production sector and content channels in Angola, underlined that his Ministry will also reinforce the capacity building and training program for producers.
For the Secretary, the idea is to bring together in the same space the various agents that interact in the process of production versus dissemination of national content, in order to appear as an opportunity of singular importance in favor of efforts to boost the national market of creative production.
"The divergence or difference in approach and points of view does not favor the development of the production of national content, nor does it provide for the availability of these products to the public, leaving consumers at the mercy of foreign content”, he said.

The Public Manager also added that this seminar was intended to bring together distribution platforms, other channels and television stations with content producers, with a view to debating the strangling aspects of this market and the search for convergent points that lead to the promotion and development of the content production market and encourage its dissemination.
Finally, Nuno Caldas underlined that the analysis of the legal provisions on the procedures for legalizing the activity of companies in the media sector will provide knowledge, which can help those who are still in contravention of the law, to take the necessary measures to get out of this situation. .
