[Mozambique] Access Bank launches new international money transfer platform

Acess Bank Mozambique recently launched AcessAfrica, an international transfer platform that, from the Bank's branches in Mozambique, allows the institution's customers and non-customers to send and receive money to and from all of the Group's subsidiaries on the African continent.

The platform also allows funds to be sent to Europe and China, where Acess Bank has strong partnerships, where this new service was created with the aim of facilitating payment for goods and services between Acess Bank subsidiaries, limiting risk associated with cross-border cash-based transactions.

It also aims to maintain social ties, providing tourists, expatriates and professionals with a mechanism for financial connection with their loved ones.

Countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, and other nations in Africa, Europe and Asia constitute shipping and receiving corridors.

Alberto Júnior, Retail Director at Acess Bank Mozambique, says that this platform “was completely designed to make life easier, not only for the Bank's customers, but also for the general public, as people do not need to have an Acess account to make payments. transfers or receive dividends, as long as they meet the requirements set out in the exchange law regulations”, he explained.

To access the service, customers must fill out a form assigned by the Bank, being able to send and receive up to the equivalent of 300 thousand meticais.
