The 1st Edition of the CodeLabs project recently took place, an innovative initiative where young talents in the area of information technology in Mozambique were discovered.

With the seal of Cornelder de Moçambique, SA, in partnership with ATITTUDE, the technological event also served to contribute to the development of young professionals in the country, where the target audience was young people aged 18 to 30, from the north to the south of the country , fully interested in the areas of Information Technology and Innovation, presenting their innovative ideas.

The 1st Edition of the CodeLabs project was held in two cities, Maputo and Beira, and for three days, a group of talented young people worked hard to develop and present innovative technological solutions.

In the end, three brilliant groups were awarded, demonstrating both their technical skills and their ability to work as a team, providing an exciting opportunity to discover the potential, creativity and innovation of young Mozambicans.

“The initiative is more about encouraging students to become interested in the area of information technology, also serving to show Mozambican society that there is talent here in the country. Five years ago we brought programs from outside, but Covid-19 forced us to develop applications internally and we were successful. Today, several programs and platforms that are in use were developed by our information technology department. We saw that after all we have several talents here in Mozambique, so we are developing Cornelder CodeLabs to discover more talents”, said Jan de Vries, Managing Director of the company, also highlighting that CodeLabs is an initiative that serves to encourage young programmers, final year students or recent graduates.
