The Secretary of the Frelimo Central Committee for Communication and Image, Ludmila Maguni, encourages Sociedade do Notícias (SN) not to stop printing its newspapers, even with the challenges of digitization that are currently imposed.

The challenge was launched during the courtesy visit that the Frelimo party spokeswoman made to the headquarters of the company, which owns the morning newspaper “Notícias”, the weekly newspapers “Domingo” and “Desafio” and also the largest and most modern printing unit in the country.

Recently elected to the post, at the XII Congress of this political formation, Ludmila Maguni, former Secretary of State in the province of Inhambane, went to the facilities of “Notícias” to strengthen the partnership between the two organizations.

In addition to the meeting with the members of the company's Board of Directors, namely Júlio Manjate, chairman, and Cezerilo Matuce, administrator, Ludmila Maguni visited the newsrooms of the firm's newspapers, where she received detailed explanations about the news production model that all the days go out to the street, through pael or that are distributed through digital platforms.

"We heard about this digitalization challenge that the Journal embraced and we think it is very important”, encouraged the spokeswoman for the ruling party, noting, however, that printing should not be stopped.

As he justified, it is essential that traditional values ​​are maintained also with respect to readers who still like to leaf through the printed newspaper to inform themselves and educate themselves, defending, therefore, the need to ensure balance in the transition process from paper to paper. digital-

The Frelimo spokeswoman said she understood the ongoing work at the company level, highlighting the process of rejuvenating the society's newsrooms, with the entry of younger professionals to balance the older ones who, by law, retire after long years at the service of the newspaper.

"As a party, we want to continue to rely on this leading media outlet for the dissemination of our work.”, underlined Maguni, encouraging the investments that SN is making in other areas such as the graphics industry. For its part, the CEO of Sociedade do Notícias valued the visit, noting that it served to “renew an old friendship".

"There is an openness on both sides and we have been giving some ideas about what we think can be done to improve the quality of the work we have been doing, as is characteristic of our newspapers.", said.

Júlio Manjale explained that, in another dimension, that of SN Gráfica's business, Frelimo is a potential client, like other political parties, especially at a time when electoral processes are approaching and it will be necessary to produce different propaganda materials.
