Mozambique present at the African Forum on Sustainable Development (SDGs)

A Mozambican delegation was present at the VIII Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, at the beginning of March, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was discussed and reviewed, as well as the selection of Agenda 2063 targets.

The event, which took place in Kigali, Rwanda, was attended by several dignitaries from Africa and the world, with the theme “Build Better: A Green, Inclusive and Resilient Environment; Africa ready to achieve Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063“, and where preliminary events took place and also focused on identifying ambition strategies and political actions for a better approach to Covid-19 and increase implementation in 2021-2030.

It should be noted that this session of the Africa Regional Forum on SDGs was preceded by the Africa Regional Collaborative Platform (RCP) of UN agencies operating on the African continent, as well as the third Africa Regional Forum on Science and Technology and a workshop on developing capacities on Voluntary Local Reviews and Africa Regional Preparatory Workshop for Large Groups and Other Stakeholders (MGOS).
