Adilson Santos is the new CEO of Movicel, accumulating the same function at Angola Telecom, reveals the newspaper Expansion.

Angola Telecom's current CEO succeeds Filipe Zola, who was in office for just four months and where he resigned at the company's last shareholders meeting, a request that was accepted by the board members of the public-private company.

The choice of Adilson Santos as the new PCA of Movicel is only approved by INACOM (Instituto Angolano das Comunicações), as it is the regulatory company, and that approval is expected to take place this week. Adilson Santos is also the CEO of Angola Telecom, now accumulating the two positions.

It should be noted that Angola Telecom is an 18% shareholder of Movicel, as well as being the creditor of the largest debt that the mobile telephony operator has.

From what was found, there are two main reasons for the resignation of Filipe Zola from the position of PCA at Movicel, where the first and according to sources close to the former PCA, he presented his resignation due to the fact that a smear campaign against his person, and all this because he cut off some of the interests business installed around Movicel, where he chose to leave the company on his own.

BUT: Movicel with new shareholder structure and new PCA

Despite his departure from Movicel, Filipe Zola continues to maintain his functions at the INSS (National Social Security Institute), where he is one of the Institute's three administrators, since the change in its organic structure.

On the other hand, coming from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), another reason for his resignation is due to the arrogance and lack of availability of Filipe Zola, concerning Movicel matters, which caused discomfort. in the company's senior management, and his departure became inevitable and was expected.

The newspaper Expansão also adds that on the issue of Adilson dos Santos' incompatibility in accumulating the positions of PCA of Angola Telecom and Movicel, it is not seen as a problem, and where INACOM's opinion can be decisive in determining whether or not to understand this. incompatibility.
