MultiChoice “move forward” to trainings to boost content creators in Africa

A MultiChoice will provide short-term training in post-production, sound, script, 3D animation and cinematography, a project that will be in partnership with local TV's and which aim to boost the largest number of content creators in Africa.

According to a press release, to which the editorial staff of MenosFios had access, the project is an initiative that will bring together online learning courses, masterclasses and practical training, as well as certified short courses in critical production skills, such as post-graduate production, sound, screenplay, 3D animation and cinematography.

The statement also mentions that the online learning component of the program will allow MultiChoice to reach the largest possible number of content creators across the African continent and simultaneously allow professionals to take courses depending on their availability.

In the words of Fhulufhelo Badugela, CEO of MultiChoice Africa and quoted in the note, the intention is to improve the skills of production professionals and raise the standard of productions on the African continent, in addition to the fact that this project will boost the film and television industry in Africa.

 “Because as more people are trained, more people are motivated to start projects”, he stressed.

It was also revealed that these formations will materialize through the collaboration between MultiChoice and the local television channels, as well as the MultiChoice Talent Factory, the group's training program.
