Nazaré Gaspar and Eltina Gaspar are the two Angolans present at the 5th edition of MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF), the world-class film and television training program organized by MultiChoice, and where classes began on January 23rd.

The Angolan representatives, who are already part of the MTF Academy in Lusaka, Zambia, are part of a group of 60 young aspiring filmmakers, who will take part in the training program that includes theoretical and practical aspects of film production that will from writing the script to filming, editing and audio post-production.

MTF Academies in Zambia, Kenya and Nigeria continue to work with regional and international partners to ensure that students receive the best training and practical experiences necessary to enhance their skills and make a positive contribution to the film and television industry.

BUT: MultiChoice “move forward” to trainings to boost content creators in Africa

The training program is guided by a vast multidisciplinary team of award-winning specialists from across the continent, part of whom have produced content for the channels of the M-Net Group – an entertainment content production company (children's programmes, sports, films, reality shows) which is part of MultiChoice.

Top graduates from each of the three academies will have the incredible opportunity to further develop their skills with various internships sponsored by MTF partner organizations such as the New York Film Academy (NYFA) and Zee World.

The MultiChoice Talent Factory comes as a way for MultiChoice Africa to show that it is committed to building and sustaining the pipeline of training for employment in Africa's film and television industry, and where this initiative aims for a 60/40 split in favor of women from the its beginning.
