American businessman Elon Musk has again threatened that he may leave the Twitter buyout agreement🇧🇷 Tesla's CEO delivered this Monday (06) a document to the US regulator, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in which he accuses the management of the social network of hiding details about the purchase.

No document, delivered by the billionaire's lawyers and made available on the SEC website, the lawyers claim that Twitter continues to “refuse to send information that Musk has repeatedly requested since May 9, to facilitate his assessment of fake and spam accounts on the platform".

The document adds that, “At this time, Elon Musk believes that Twitter is transparently refusing to fulfill the commitments made in the acquisition agreement, which raises even more suspicions that the company is withholding the requested data due to concerns about what the analysis of the data that Musk's team may reveal".

The billionaire had already threatened that he would give up the purchase of Twitter, due to the problem regarding the number of fake accounts and 'bots' that exist on social networks.

BUT: Several NGOs come together to try to prevent the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk

The owner of Tesla and SpaceX also complained about what he considers to be a free speech problem on Twitter – Musk has repeatedly said it was a mistake to suspend then-President Donald Trump., after he praised the crowd that invaded the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Even so, the businessman's team added that, "based on Twitter's behavior thus far, Elon Musk believes that the company is actively resisting and ignoring his rights to information (and the company's corresponding obligations) under the acquisition agreement".

"This is a clear material breach of Twitter's obligations under the acquisition agreement and Elon Musk reserves all of his rights arising therefrom, including the right not to consummate the transaction and the right to terminate the acquisition agreement“He concluded.

Despite the multibillion-dollar business, Twitter investors are not happy with Elon Musk's behavior in relation to the business, and even sued the businessman, stating that he interacts “in a conduct to create doubt about the deal and substantially devalue Twitter’s shares in order to give an advantage that he hoped to use, either to abandon the acquisition or renegotiate the purchase price” .
