In recent years, digital life has brought an infinity of possibilities to society, where technology makes it possible to have everything people need on a daily basis.

It was based on these possibilities that a group of young entrepreneurs from the province of Zambézia, in Mozambique, created the platform musika, which is a digital market that aims to facilitate the exchange of goods and services.

A word from the Chuabo language, one of the original languages of the country, which in Portuguese means “Market”, the project is located in the domain MUSSIKA.CO.MZ, and was designed and created by the Center for Studies for the Development of Zambézia (CEPDZ), in order to allow economic agents to expand, through a simple and easy way, their businesses, insofar as they interact with the your partners and customers at the speed of a click.

Mussika comes in a context where the Mozambican market has had few or no large-scale e-commerce solutions in order to respond to the main local concerns.

"Friends who are in Maputo and Nampula were asking, I want to spend my holidays in Zambézia, is there any place to sleep? Can you send me a taxi contact? If I have to go shopping or eat can you give me some indication?. So these questions, which were asked by friends residing in Quelimane, influenced us to turn the situation into a business opportunity. Mussika appears as a response to questions from friends and family who intended to visit Zambézia“, said Paulo Bonde, founder of the platform.

According to the founder, the Mussika platform's main objective is to make the lives of several Mozambicans much easier.

"I don't need to go into a restaurant app, then go to a hotel app or taxi app. When I enter Mussika I have everything I need“, emphasized Bonde.

The platform also has the potential of the province of Zambézia, since the idea is to cover, albeit gradually, the riches of all of Mozambique, thus allowing anyone and everyone, no matter where they are in the world, to have access to the application. and you will be able to buy/sell products and goods to a diverse audience.

Currently, Mussika already has more than ten categories, from accommodation stores, taxi, art, culture, restaurants, events, tourism, health and other services.

Still in his approach, Paulo Bonde explained that “in a restaurant, what happens, in general, is to find a menu, ask for it and see the menu. Using the platform, it is possible to get in touch digitally with this service and request what the consumer needs, hence the service provider proceeds with the reservation depending on verified payments”.

With this, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as musicians, artists and writers can publicize and promote the various types of activities for a vast and comprehensive market, thus creating a platform for exchange.
