But the Chinese company had more points of interest, so it took advantage of MWC 2023 to present its new augmented reality (AR) glasses. The device was named Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition. In terms of processing, the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 was chosen and the highlight is the gesture controls. The glasses weigh 126 grams and have two cameras on the front.

Xiaomi has tried to keep everything as simple as possible, starting with the connection to the phone, made by approximation, via NFC and, once again, the control of the interface by hand gestures.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted a video on his Twitter profile demonstrating how the device works.

As for the visual issue, the device has microOLED screens, with a resolution of 58 pixels per degree.

Xiaomi glasses are integrated with the operating system through Mi Share. It is possible to stream videos from popular apps like TikTok and YouTube directly through the augmented reality device.
