The Nigerian regulator claims that the company responsible for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp appropriated personal data belonging to citizens of the country without due consent. Furthermore, the investigation carried out by the regulator also concluded that Meta abused its dominant position in the market by forcing privacy policies that were disadvantageous to consumers.
