The large national and international communication agencies will have their attention turned to the Mobile World Congress 2016 which will take place in Barcelona between the 22 days of February of 2016 until the 25 day of the same month and current year.
Currently the expectations about the event there are many, but nothing better than waiting for the events and enjoying each one of them, but apparently Nokia has already said that it will present how 5G technology works in commercial hardware.
According to Houssein Moiin (CTO of Nokia Mobile), this is the first demonstration in the industry of how 5G will work in practice, going beyond previous experimental systems. This is an important step forward, as it means that 5G is no longer a distant view. Operators can now confidently invest in network equipment that will support both existing technologies and 5G, when it is standardized ”.
Nokia's 5G technology encompasses a series of spectrum reserves, capable of providing 20Gbps in centimeter waves (cmWave) and 15Gbps in millimeter waves (mmWave), thus making available the potential for new frequencies for multi-Gbps wireless access.
Sources also guarantee that, according to Nokia, as of 2017, operators will be able to launch in 5G, at a very low cost and it will be possible to migrate from infrastructure before the launch of comprehensive technology services.
