It is no surprise to anyone that Apple is building a new Campus, which was announced a few years ago. The work is budgeted at 161 Million Dollars. The massive four-story building in the shape of a "spaceship" will have space to accommodate 12.000 company employees.
Campus construction is progressing rapidly in both the main ring building and the other auxiliary buildings including the underground auditorium, visitor center and the building Tantau, where it will be Apple's research and development center.
Currently a large part of the exterior of the Campus is in the completion phase, cranes are now being erected, and the roof for the underground auditorium will soon be attached. A solar panel was also attached to one of the two parking structures.
When the Campus ends, the Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will have a ring-shaped construction of 2,8 million square feet main, several car parks, a center of fitness 100.000 square feet, a square 120.000 auditorium, and a dedicated visitor center, all surrounded by lush green landscape.
