Snapchat, the social network that became known for making each user's content “disappear” within a 24-hour time horizon, changed the rules of the game this week. The application updated its terms of use and sent a notification to each of its users.

Despite the reinforcement of the message, “we advise you to read the new terms of use“, I believe that few people actually did it.
But in a nutshell, the idea of having something that “evaporates” in seconds or that could last for a maximum of 24 hours, is now a thing of the past.

The document states that the application can do everything it wishes with the content shared by each user, from the hosting, playback, modification until the public display of the snaps, even those that have not been added in the story.

From now on the care must be redoubled with what is exposed, since the application can also use the name of each one, image and voice for the distribution of media indefinitely and in any channel.

The application is not so secret anymore, is it?
