Registration Telephone Angola

In the last week you must have seen (heard) something related to the registration of telephone numbers in Angola.

According to INACOM (Angolan Communications Institute), the mobile phone operators are required to register their users for numbers.

How long do cell phone owners have to register?

All users (who do not have registration) must do so by the end of the year.

Why should cell phone owners register?

All countries need to have correct data on the Telecommunications sector, mobile companies need this data for the rapid issuance of second routes, and for security reasons the Ministry of the Interior needs this data, for example if they steal their cell phone it would be possible with the police complaint to request the screening of the said number. And finally, for economic reasons, it is necessary to have data on the sector, the number of actual users, so that improvements can be planned.

How to register?

If your phone number is not in your name, go to one of your service provider's stores (Unitel or Movicel), take your Identity Card and ask to be registered.

Foreign citizens can register the number by presenting a valid passport or resident card, while companies must present a license or taxpayer card.

What if I do not register?

If you do not register, you will receive a notification and 30 days later you may lose the number (with the balance it has).
