Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is visiting South Korea for the first time in fifteen years, with the aim of announcing new projects and strengthening cooperation with some of the country's largest technology companies, including Hyundai Motor, Samsung, SK, and Naver.

During the APEC 2025 Summit, Nvidia and the South Korean government confirmed an expanded partnership to accelerate the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure and physical capabilities in the country.

The announcement comes just days after the United States signed new technology agreements with Japan and South Korea, aimed at strengthening strategic relations and jointly advancing areas such as AI, semiconductors, quantum computing, biotechnology, and 6G networks.

According to the South Korean government, the country will secure more than 260 next-generation Nvidia GPUs to meet the growing demand for AI solutions. Of these, approximately 50 GPUs will be allocated to public projects, including the creation of national AI models and the construction of a national AI data center.

The remaining 200 GPUs will be distributed among companies such as Samsung, SK, Hyundai Motor Group, and Naver, enabling increased innovation in the industry and the development of AI models tailored to each sector.
