A Microsoft has been drastically changing the strategy. The key point of this shift is in expanding the use of your applications to multiple platforms. Enough of that closed model in which to enjoy an application was necessary to have a compatible device, the strategy now has to have an application to work on any device.
So there was not much surprise when Microsoft earlier this week decided to make the Office Lens, a free application that has been available for over a year on Windows Phone and has as its mission to turn the smartphone into a "pocket scanner".
The application has a very simple operating mode, just open the app, point the camera to the content to be scanned and take the photo. All necessary adjustments will be made automatically by the application, meaning you do not have to worry if the photo goes a little crooked.
