Social media posts have distorted an update to the terms of use of ChatGPTleading many to believe that OpenAI's Artificial Intelligence has stopped providing guidance on legal and health issues.
However, the information is false, as clarified. Karan Singhal, OpenAI's head of AI in the healthcare field, via a post on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“The model’s behavior remains unchanged,” Karan wrote. “ChatGPT never replaced professional advice, but it continues to be an excellent resource for helping people understand legal and health information.”
The false news, which spread in recent weeks, claimed that ChatGPT had ceased being a "consultant" and had become merely an "educational tool."
OpenAI emphasized that ChatGPT retains the same functionalities, helping users understand legal documents, medical terms, or clinical decisions, always with the caveat that the information does not replace the guidance of a qualified professional.
