Content distribution service companies and television channels operating in the national market were advised to improve the quality of the service provided and make them available to a greater number of Angolans.

This appeal came from the national director of information and institutional communication of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), João Demba, speaking at the event for the signing of the specific concession contracts for the exploitation of the content distribution service and television channels by subscription between FINSTAR – ZAP Operators; TV Cabo Angola and the Angolan Institute of Communications (INACOM).

The contracts given to the companies have a duration of 10 years, where they provide for the updating of titles with customers and offer greater openness to companies to act in other areas of communications, in addition to pay-TV.

The official also stressed that once the license to operate television services has been conceived, operators are more open to developing their work and have flexible prices, so that most Angolans have access to the services available.

The chairman of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Angolanos das Comunicações (INACOM), Pascoal Fernandes Ale, reiterated that the license granted for intervention by operators is for ten years, which will provide more revenue for these companies, as well as for the Angolan State. .

The director of TV Cabo Angola, Francisco Ferreira, said that the signing of the contract will bring greater benefits to customers, as well as to the quality of the services they provide.
