The year of 2019 represents an important milestone in the life of the Angolan Order of Engineers (OAS) - They are 30 years in the service of Angolan engineering. According to those responsible for the OAS, a cycle of construction and consolidation of this Organization of ours is ended. A cycle that had the merit of bringing together the efforts of different generations and was based on a noble purpose and common to all who review themselves in the profession of engineer.
At a time when Angola is undergoing a series of transformations, in search of the long-awaited diversification of the economy, Angolan engineers have the obligation to contribute with concrete proposals, in an exercise of full citizenship, putting their knowledge at the service of Angolan society.
These are the assumptions that lead the OAS to organize the 3rd International Congress of the Order of Engineers on “ENGINEERING, ECONOMY DIVERSIFICATION AND THE 4TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION” and the 4th Congress of Safety, Occupational Health and Environment, with the Theme “SECURITY, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND THE 4.0 INDUSTRY”, which will take place on 15, 16, 17 and 18 October 2019 at the SANA Hotel in Luanda.
Throughout the 30 years of activity, the OAS has been solidifying its convictions, in its Technical-Scientific Days and International Congresses, since at least 2004, in the certainty that the contributions generated from this event will become some of the instruments for The achievement of this major objective of diversifying the economy with companies committed to safety and the environment.

The world is in full 4ª Industrial Revolution, where the fusion of technologies from the worlds, physical, digital and biological, has been transforming the way of living and working in the four corners of the world. All of this happens at exponential amplitude and speed.
As we seek to diversify our economy, we cannot fail to take into account these new scenarios. But how to do it? How to take advantage of the enormous benefits and opportunities of this new age while identifying and counteracting the threats that will naturally arise?
Angolan engineers, represented by the OAS, aware of their social responsibility and the importance of engineering for development, call it their duty to collaborate by bringing together Angolan intelligences, together with experts from PALOPs and CPLP, to reflect and present proposals and solutions. .
The OAS intends to draw from the foreign and Angolan experts who will participate in panels and round tables at these two events, the best ideas and the most effective ways for Angola to solidly diversify its economy, in the context of the exponential changes that the world is experiencing.
