Pay Pay Africa: The new digital payments platform in Angola

Yesterday (06), in the capital of the country, Luanda, the official presentation of the Pay Pay Africa, a digital and fully interactive platform that can be used on mobile phones and allows you to make payments, transfer and receive money using your phone number and QR code, as well as checking your bank account balance and also allowing you to link to a digital wallet.

The innovative technological project is authored by several young national entrepreneurs, in the person of Conectando-Society Provider of Payment Services, LDA, and where said platform can be used by people who have a bank account domiciled in national territory, namely, Sun Bank, Atlantic e BAI.

Please note that all transactions carried out on Pay Pay Africa by users are confirmed as long as they have sufficient funds in the registered bank account or in the said user's application wallet. With the platform application, users will be able to make payments in various services present in the national digital society, such as Tupuca, T'Leva, MacBurger, Bem-Me-Quer da Ingombota, Tia Any Restaurant, FoodLab and South Side Bar.

In addition to being the official presentation of Pay Pay Africa, the ceremony also served to inform the media about the first ambassadors of the platform: Neurite Mendes, Marco Santos and Hélio Baiano, well-known figures in the Angolan artistic scene.

According to what was revealed, each of the ambassadors will have, among many others, the responsibility of promoting content about the functionality of the application through the actions implemented by PayPay, its activities and social networks.

"Thank you for being part of this cast of influencers and, without a doubt, we will expand PayPay and make people adhere more and more, obviously, transform payment methods in Angola and beyond”, said presenter Neurite Mendes.

On the other hand, the model Marco Santos declared himself proud to join PayPay Africa, since in his idea it is a platform that came to make life easier for Angolans.

"It's always good to start the year off on the right foot, in this case, we're off to a good start with this contract with PayPay Africa. We are all aware of the weakness in our country in terms of the payment system, and PayPay has made life easier for Angolans, which is, practically, the creation of a digital payment system. You can make various types of payments and check your balance. Everything that makes our lives easier, we all use”, stressed Marco Santos.

It should also be noted that Pay Pay Africa is a platform authorized by the National Bank of Angola, and as highlighted by the project's creators, all the platform's operability is ensured by a strong team of computer engineers, as well as being supported by the application's main provider. System maintenance and updates are also ensured by the same team of engineers, and where the physical and logical security of the cryptographic products respect the relevant security requirements of the company.

Honestly, a platform like this will take Angola a lot forward, I don't know if it's a problem or not, but most Angolans still have a lot of difficulty in embracing technological innovations and that make things easier, sometimes I think that maybe it's the generation , who knows when the old generation passes, things will change for the better (every innovative and facilitating creation has its Negative and Positive aspects)
