The main border posts in the country will have electronic devices for capturing and encoding images (scanners), in order to reinforce the inspection and control of goods entering and leaving the national territory.

The information was revealed by the Northern Regional Director of the General Tax Administration (AGT), from the Nóqui border post, zaire province, noting that these devices will be installed at land border posts and airports around Angolan territory.

At the moment, according to the official, the technical teams are making visits to the different land border posts in Angola, for work on data collection and relevant information for the implementation of this project.

BUT: Security of national borders will be reinforced with technological equipment

For Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, governor of Zaire, he considers the installation of technological devices to be a fundamental measure for strengthening inspection and control of goods entering and leaving the national territory.

"It has always been a very big struggle for more efficient control and inspection of border trade, of goods entering and leaving the national territory.”, said the ruler.

Adriano Mendes de Carvalho concluded that the installation of scanners is an added value for Angola and also for neighboring countries, as it allows knowing what type of goods are moving from one side to the other.
