Top US tech companies begin hacking calls with Huawei

After Google suspended part of Huawei's access to Android, more technology companies from the United States of America begin to cut supplies with the Chinese company, all in the face of management threats Trump to stifle Huawei Technologies.

Now chip makers such as IntelQualcomm , Xilinx e Broadcom , told their employees that they will not supply Huawei until further notice, according to people familiar with their actions. The Trump administration on Friday (May 17, 2019) blacklisted Huawei, accusing it of helping Beijing in spying and threatened to cut it off from the U.S. software and semiconductors it needs to manufacture its products. The ban, which had been brought forward, hurt the world's largest supplier of network equipment and the second largest smartphone supplier.

A Huawei said it will continue to provide security updates and sales services to customers using Google's Android operating system, according to a statement released today. Blocking the sale of critical components can also disrupt the business of American chip giants, such as Micron Technology Inc. and delay the launch of critical 5G wireless networks worldwide including in China. This, in turn, could hurt US companies that are increasingly dependent on the world's second largest economy for growth.
