Practically in the last quarter of the year 2017 appeared the information that, 45% of Angola Telecom's share capital will be privatized, and this privatization appears in the path that the mentioned operator will also return to the segment of the mobile telephony.
Already the long awaited privatization, but now the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies José Carvalho da Rocha, just confirmed that the privatization process of Angola Telecom will start this year, the process of evaluating the operator's assets and assets is currently underway.
According to the interview published in yesterday's edition (February 11, 2019) in Jornal de Angola, the sector leader ensured due transparency in the process, also underlined the fact that the assets continue to be valued, once the State carried out investments in the company.
It should also be noted that, Angola Telecom currently has a new Coordinator of the Interim Management Commission, the new PCA of Angola Telecom is called Adilson dos Santos who replaces Eduardo Domingos Sebastião, who was appointed to the post in 2017.
